Is it normal for a 20 yr old to have never worked?

I have retail work experience of 2 years from when I was in secondary school and college, this was working in the Wilkinson's store and pound land store.
However that was 4 years ago, I think the skills I gained from back then will have erased from my memory.

I have actually had 3 paid days work at Matalan warehousing before I quitted and went back to college to study Business Admin. I am now 20 going on 21 in October and have not had any other work history, iin?

It's somewhat normal, but "quitted" is not a word lol, just pointing it out. I currently work for Avon but I don't make much, so I'm thinking about quitting and going to community college. I've applied at many places but nowhere hired me, maybe because I'm slightly autistic. Not fair, but at least it's not my fault. Good luck finding a job, I'm sure you will even if it takes a while.

My Mum also does Avon and I help her with it, agreed, you don't make much money from it but you get a big discount from things you buy for yourself from it so it is still worth doing, as well as that, it gets you out and meeting new people

My brother is 21 and he's never had a job. He's a total low life though so that's another story.

If you had asked me a year ago I would have said no, it's not normal. But now I know that one of my closest friends is one month away from 20 and has never had a job. So meh, I guess it's more common than people would think. Especially since a majority of high school grads go directly in to college.

it sure isn't respectable, i think you should get a job to understand how hard people have to work to get what they want

ive worked since i was 15 (now 21) and ive have about 8 different jobs now (usually 2 or 3 at a time) to pay for a car and now rent and food. i'm also a business major. i think you're seriously missing out on some life skills- how can you expect to understand how a business goes (and even possibly manage people) if you've never been forced into work yourself? working different jobs gives you so many life skills that you can't get otherwise gain such as customer service, public speaking, working with money, and specializing in whatever industry you're in

    seriously get a job
