Okay my nephew who is turning 14 on September 8th recieved an early birthday present, an ear piercing on his left ear. He said it helps his self esteem because he looks better with it. Is this normal?
my brother and all his friends have both there ears perirced and there not gay lol
Well someone should explain to him that 'things' do no help self-esteem - or he is gonna waste alot of money throughout life
I think ear piercings on guys looks really good, as long as they don't go overboard with it lol. Piercings are not gay or "faggy" (Thank you Dozis for your contribution). There is an etiquette in society though that getting just your right ear pierced means you are gay. any other form does not mean you are gay though. and for that matter, there's nothing wrong with being gay.
Anyway i am getting both my ears done because not only do i think they look good but It's also a way to get in touch with my Indian side. I'm part Cherokee and I just think it would be really great to acknowledge some of my history by getting something traditional done, like ear piercings.
It's normal. I got my ear pierced at 14 too. Without my family knowing that but, ehh..
It's fine, if he wants his ear pierced than let him get his ear pierced. It's no biggie. Plus some guys with piercings can be hot :)
when i was 14 i wanted my ear pierced with a huge diamond stud. But my mom wouldn't allow it.

yes its normal. I pierce my ear at age 14. After a month their not a big deal.
When it comes to piercings:
Some do it to prove their peers they can take the pain.
Some do it to decorate themselves according to fashion without even considering the fact that it is gonna hurt.
Some do it cause they cannot think about any other way to look cool.
Some do it cause exchanging earrings with girls is kind of a good way to,whatever.
Some do it cause they cannot wait to wear gold like their parents,in their minds wearing gold automatically adds some more value to,well,how much they value themselves.
Some do it cause they are slightly faggy to tell other guys who wear an earing:I suck dick.
But most do it in an attempt to fit in.
Anyway,what a fucking cheapass present.
