Is it normal for a 19 years old having that many sexual partners?

I think that its "not" ok that some girls have had a lot of sexual partners? I mean, my girlfriend had 11 and some of they were not their boyfriends, so do you think thats right? Or is too much for that age? I dont think thats good but anyways, want to hear your opinions

Honestly it doesn't matter how many sexual partners you've had. We live in a new age where women now have the same sexual liberation that guys have had since the beginning thanks to birth control. Don't judge someone because of how many sexual partners they've had, judge them on their character.

However, something tells me that this unsettles you, since she's your girlfriend and you probably don't want to think about all the people she's been with. To that I say, put yourself in her shoes. You were young and having fun, I'm sure you wouldn't want someone to leave you simply because of stuff you did in the past. She's with you now, she cares about you, isn't that enough?

It's okay to have sex with as many people as you want. I think it's a bit snobbish to turn your nose up at someone because of something they did in the past which hurt no-one. To me, being sexually inhibited is an unattractive trait and being sexually liberal is an attractive trait.

It's no more snobbish than preferring blondes over brunettes, or Asian women over black or white women.

Sexual inhibition has nothing to do with it.
Take for an example a person with many partners but only wants sex in one position and with the lights off, Vs. someone who believes in having few partners but wants it in every conceivable position as well as anal, oral & with the curtains open so the neighbors can see.

Perhaps you're right. I disagree, but I can't articulate it. I think turning your nose up at someone because of the colour of their hair or race is just as snobbish, though.

PS. Sorry for re-editing so many times. Your reply made me squirm a little as I re-evaluated myself, and it still is. And I should clarify that for me, "turning your nose up at someone" and "being snobbish to someone" means rejecting them because you think you're too good for them.

It seems to me that you want to judge those who prefer few partners but don't want others judging you for having many.

Because sex is such an individual thing, everyone has their own preferences. It is what it is.

I guess the key is finding sex partners who share ones own view of sex. Then there won't be conflicts.

I'm not trying to be judge-y, although it wouldn't be the first time I'd been judge-y without realising it. If I turned down someone because they had few sexual partners, which I wouldn't ever do, you'd be well within your rights to judge me just as heavily.

I agree with you, it is what it is.

        "amp"?

IIN sometimes can't deal with the & sign and sticks an 'amp' in it.

This often happens after a comment is edited - suddenly the & has an 'amp' in it.

Similarly, if you edit a comment you've made with a link in, sometimes it messes up the link with a load of HTML-type code surrounding it.

            For example...

            & and http://www.google.com

After an edit and save, becomes...

            &amp; and <a href="http://www.google.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.google.com</a>

It is probably HTML abbreviation for ampersand.

As a virgin who couldn't attract anyone if I tried, I would be apprehensive about being in a relationship with a girl who had many partners because I would always feel like someone was a better lover than me and I would feel inexperienced

I think you are looking at this the wrong way.
Sex just isn't one of those things anyone has a natural talent for. One must practice, practice, practice, to get good at it.
So no, I don't think 11 partners would be a bad thing for MY girl friend to have, because I love what an experienced woman can do in bed.
Of course, if you are worried about being as good as some of those 11 guys, well that is your hang up and if she hasn't complained, you might be crewing up a good relationship for no good reason.

I love how a lot of men dislikes it if a girl has had many partners ...yet they'd try to bed you within the first week of knowing you!

Hence being an equally "bad" person but of course we shall not blame men for being horny >>

When someone asks about a number of sexual partners, why is it inevitably about girls and what they do?

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I personally lose attraction to someone if they have had a lot of sexual partners. They are free to do it if they want, it's their body, but I see it as an unattractive trait.

at 19 a was almost in triple digits.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • 11 isn't really that many. At my high school most of the girls had sex with between 10 and 20 guys, and a few with more. Didn't seem that odd. By 19 if your a girl that likes to party at a big college in a large city, you can probably have had sex with 20 or 30 in a year.

Girls can and should have several partners while they are young. It seems to be OK for a guy to have several partners but not a woman. Why not?

Basically you and your girlfriend have differing views of sex. You may feel it is something to be shared with someone profoundly special to you where she doesn't feel they need to be so special. Whether that is good or bad is entirely up to you. It's not good or bad it's just what it is.
