Is it normal for a 43 year old man to still like doctor who?

Ever since I was a child in the 1970's I have loved the TV show Doctor who. It started when I first saw Jon Pertwee in 1972, when I was just 2 years old. I then watched Tom Baker and followed all the rest. I still love the Daleks and the cybermen as I'm still facinated by it all at my age and personally I regard it as harmless fun, but some people think I'm a little wierd! for me it's the nostalgia and the memories of who I watched it with at the time, mostly with my family, particularly my Dad (he died in 1991) I now watch it with my 8 year old son Adam, but he sometimes gets bored with it, I just wonder what other people think, please tell me, thank you.

I don't understand why someone would think this is weird. Doctor Who is aimed at any age group. It's a great series, I watch it all the time.

My mum was alive when Doctor Who started. She still watches it now. I don't think it used to be for kids (I didn't like it as a kid) but now it seems to be made for every age range and I love it too since it came back with Christopher Eccleston. I've even got over the loss of David Tennant now and think Matt Smith is doing a good job. Plus the new assistant is an inspired choice and she comes with her very own mystery. Every series since it came back has had at least one stand-out episode for me and the one with Oswin was one of those. I hope they keep her character the same.

Oh, and a bit of name-dropping, I think I used to work with her elder sister.

It's a brilliant show that's very entertaining. Besides I still do things that I'm to old for out if nostalgic reasons.

I know plenty of adults who like Doctor Who. I don't see why they shouldn't. I've never considered it as being just a kid's show anyway.
