Is it normal for a 45 year old man to still act a little childish?

I'm a 45 year old man and when I was younger I took life quite seriously indeed, now I'm older I've loosened up a bit, even though I have two children. These days I spend a lot of time with my mother, I tend to laugh at toilet jokes and farting, I still love watching Doctor Who, never miss an episode. I don't really like a lot of responsibility and my partner Nicola says I don't really want to grow up so I ask you is this quite normal?

You should never let the kid inside you die.

    Live. Love. Laugh.

I've never taken the time to learn a thing about Dr. Who

It's cute. My husband is really childish at times and I love it. I hope he never changes.

Remain a child let it take over you . Relax and have fun and be goofy and happy. Adulthood is depressing af. So many depressed adults. Be happy choose happiness and playfulness and laughter.

    Yes it's normal!

We all need to find a comfortable balance between living up to our responsibilities, but feeling free enough to not take ourselves too seriously.

I don't think it's healthy to constantly repress your playful nature simply out of fear you're not adhering to the prescribed notion of maturity.

So yeah, embrace your inner kid. Just don't let him take over :)

I don't know if it's normal, but IMO it's healthy. I've been really fortunate that in my line of work, growing up wasn't too important. It's kinda cool when some super rich guy hands the keys (figuratively) of his multimillion dollar toy to you and says, "Let's go play." Of course there is some responsibility and lots of work involved, but bottom line, your job is to play with some very expensive toys. Oh goody, goody gumdrops! Anybody wanna ask their mommy if they can come out n play with me?
