My first ever boyfriend was 32 when I was 20. We dated for a couple months and then broke up. On meeting him the 2nd time ever (he was my neighbor at my apartment complex), he asked me out for drinks figuring i was around the age of 20-22. At first I didn't find him to be a potential boyfriend until we were frequently hanging out with each other. Knowing that i've never been with anyone else, I guess I was some sort of quest that he was trying to conquer.

    I married my 34 years old husband at the age of 21. Im 25 now and happily married ever since.
    I think it just depends on how mature you are. Some 20 years-old are way " more adult" than others

    It's more preferable than if you were both five years younger. As time passes, it should matter less. I don't think there's much wrong, say, with a 72 year old being with a 60 year old.

    There is a big age difference, but you are both adults, and you both are awear of whats going on. So I would say its pretty normal.

    Well me and my fiance are 10 and 1/2 yrs apart am 23 and he will be 34 this July. I love him very much and he understands me on a level that no other man has ever understood me and I have dated men younger than me as well as older... I think a lot if it has to do with how mature you are, if you feel older than your age you will naturally be attracted to an older partner. I have always felt more comfortable around people that were older than me as versus my own peers.

    It's totally normal. Age is just a social barrier that is completely over rated. If u like someone then it doesnt matter age or race it's beautiful no matter what.
