My friend has a Teddy bear named myriah. She talks to is when she's alone, she has a bed for it, she even has clothes for it. She broght it to my sleepover and told me about it's personality, what it likes to do. Is this normal? She has a lot going on, so I understand if she likes to talk about her problems with it.. Is it normal for a 14 year old girl?

    I do that to except its a Blue Lamb. I think its normal so don't worry.

    Sounds like a common problem in youg children. Something is going on inside her head and I think it would be a safe idea for her to seek help. Could you possibly try and get her to talk to the school counsellor when school starts again?

    Maybe u r just jealous of the relationship she has w/ her teddy bear and that's why u dont like the bear. I'm sure it's a very nice and agreeable bear once u get to know it. Besides, she' is probably bringing out her inner little kid.:3

    I am 21 and I still have my stuffed polar bear. He lives in the closet and has no clothes though. If I am really upset hugging him helps me get over a bad day. Maybe she had a tramatic childhood and thats her way of coping?

    Roxanne is right, if hers is a troubled world, this may be her way of comforting herself. You are a very nice friend to be aware of and sensitive to this. She is lucky to have a respectful friend like you.

    I slept with a stuffed pig my husband bought me for years till it fell apart in the wash. I never talked to it though.

    it snormal if she has alot of problems.mayb ehse isnt trated well at home and pretend sht ebear is her and how she want sot be treated. i talk to my dog sometimes . i know he aliv ebut he doesnt speak english and many peole talk to their pets. so im usr eits just that hse need ssoem help .someone to talk to . try to talk to her about it .tellher you ar emr ethan willing ot listen to any of he rproblems . do not laugh at her it will make it worse

    She might feel like no one can understand her. Talk to her yourself,spend alot of time with her. Talk out your problems and show her that someone can understand her. That will make her talk less with her bear and grow up abit.

    sounds like she is hanging on to being a kid and that happens for a reason.... my friend is 18 and she has a heap of dolls still, she was raped by a family member.
