Is it normal fear of roaches

Okay I have only one fear and it is roaches. I am sooo scared of them that if there is the smallest one in my room I can't breathe and I cry uncontrollably, I can't even move. After someone kills them. I will hallucinate for days that I keep seeing them, I will even avoid going into my to my room for weeks I have to stay at a friends house.I even have made up a word for them so I don't think about them.

    I hate them also. And I live in TX where they are like 6 inches long and fly. If I see a dead one I cover it with a towel until my boyfriend can pick it up. If it is alive I scream as though a murderer has just broken in to my house until Someone kills it. If I am alone I attempt to drown it in a sea of Raid if I can look at it long enough And then cover it with a towel for someone else to pick up. They are sick little bastards. I also have hallucinations for days after seeing one. They seriously haunt me!!! Why are they so fast. Ugh. I shutter just thinking about it.

    You guys! Seriously!
    This is my worst fear :( . I'm a guy.. And I picked this fear up from my mom about 12 years ago. I am terrified of roaches. I sweat uncontrollably when I see one. I literally have to call a member of my family to kill them. Sometimes I run out of my room in under 2 seconds when I see one. And this is all regardless of their size. I literally am afraid of nothing else but roaches.
    I feel your pain.. And you have my sympathy.

    I feel you! Those things freak me the fuck out! I remember being in a vacation house in Spain with relatives and there where roaches all over the damn place.. I didn't sleep much that vacation..

    i think that it is very normal- people just live with fears, and yours just happens to be roaches.

    I've never had any in my house (luckily, since my family is messy), and having them in my house is a huge fear of mine. I can't even look at them without sweating and feeling nauseated. They're even worse than centipedes.
