Is it normal everything has its own atmosphere, or sensory aura?

This is going to sound so weird. No one I know has this.

Everything - concepts, people, books, places, music, memories, whatever, triggers a kind of feeling, or a sense, or several senses, that builds into this sensory imprint that I imagine every time I encounter this thing. It doesn't change, this imprint. With some things it's stronger, with others weaker.

It's very hard to describe. It's kind of like synaesthesia but with every sense and with everything that I experience.
For example, my friend conjures up the idea of a whitewashed board every time I see her. The adrenaline rush of liking someone romantically conjures the taste of metal and vitamins. A piano is someone with a lot of presence but is in fact a very understanding person when you get to know them. The word old makes me feel the idea of thirst.

These descriptions do by no means justice to the actual experience. They are so detailed and complex, including many imagined sensations and ideas. Similar things, by the way, might have similar sensations.

  • Not normal, but not a bad thing at all. I feel slightly jealous.

People all have electricity running through them and all produce heat. So that means that they should give off some kind of electric field as well as radiating heat. People have a heat signature.

I'm not sure I should envy you, but it must at least be fascinating for you. This must be very hard when you notice sad things, as much as it is pleasant upon noticing kind things. I think understanding oneself and ones place in the world is more important for your sanity than it would be for others, so take a deep breathe, keep calm, and prepare to see all of life.

I am not sure if everyone has this. I think it is quite uncommon. However, I only asked a few people when this first started. My immediate family knew but, have since most likely forgotten. This may be a good thing. I don't recall asking anyone else, though. This is probably the first time I have ever shared this "publicly" with others.

I can see the outlining aura of everything. My left eye sees neon yellow to an intense amber colour. My right eye sees neon blue to a violet colour. There have been times when I've seen other colours. Sometimes the colours would mix. It started many years ago, when I was at a hair salon. It really scared the shit out of me because, I thought that I was going to go blind. Well, thankfully, I didn't. I've gotten so used to it that it has become just one of those everyday things. I found out that it has something to do with "Indigo Children". Apparently, some are able to see auras like us. In general, I think it is either considered to be a psychic or a paranormal ability.
