The fact that you used to be homophobic makes it more likely you are gay. I think the only thing for you to do is find out on your own whether you are or not.
Im bisexual too. Im a girl and a like boys and girls :D i can switch from one to another so its never boring to be bisexual. ITS GREAT TO BE BISEXUAL, ENJOY MY FRIEND!! :D
each to his own is the best philosophy. You are probably becoming aware of many feelings you have and when you are curious if it is normal or not, you will get many replies. It can be helpful or it can be hurtful. I am dating a female that I am very in love with. She has been married twice and she had one relationship with one female that she claims by that, she is bi-sexual. I am more an observer of people not to help but to answer my questions I had in my life. I asked her why did she feel she had to put a label upon her choice. She replied, don't know people say if you are with two genders, then you are considered to be gay or bi-sexual. I later explained to her when I was in high school I had a best friend who was to me a very good looking guy. And he was my work out buddy and his company was always fun and fulfilling. I felt nothing could go wrong when I was around him. Out of all the friends I had, I loved him as a brother and I from time had feelings of contentment around him that I wished women could make me feel that way. But I never acted on that side of the relationship because I saw how men can fulfill apart of us in some areas and women fulfill the other half. So as I started to increase my circle of influence I started to meet people that had more masculine characteristics and they were females and vice versa. Not all men are a like, and all women are the same. Just like candy is candy, there are different flavors and different feelings that come from experiencing each one. Don't be so worried if it is wrong or right. What I would be concerned about is don't be easily misled by someone's opinion it is either white or black. By the way my girlfriend is 54yrs old and she hasn't had the desire to visit those past feelings she had in the past with that other female. Sometimes it is just a curiousity desiring to be fulfilled. But as an adult you have to distinguish what is love for you and what is fantasy. As long as you live true to yourself, who cares what anyone thinks? Good luck on your journey to yourself :)
If things aren't weird between you should go for it dude, because it sounds to me that you are Bi or gay, and the fact that you were homophobic probably means you were in a phase of "self-loathing". I'd say get out there and enjoy yourself dude!
