Is it normal dreaming this?

Okay, I usually don't remember my dreams, but I remember a vivid dream from last night...
I was riding on a Trolley Train, the kind that runs in the midst of traffic on an arterial road; a very bad idea.
Traffic was busy and hectic.
I was sitting at the front, which is strange because I almost never do in real life, when I'm on public transport.
I was talking with the driver. He was telling me how his wife was cheating on him. He said, "I'm goin' ta Snap that guy!"
The driver was a well-built man, in his late 20's. He had thick reddish-brown hair and sideburns. He reminded me a little of Waylon Jennings (even though I'm not a fan of his). He was wearing a red plaid shirt.
This guy was a real 'HotShot'; at least that's what some of his co-workers called him back at the yard. He was always trying to 'beat time'. He was one of the best drivers, quick and competent, although he sometimes liked to take chances.
I looked out the front window, and I saw some bone-head driving a Toyota Corolla came from nowhere, somewhere on the right and cut off a Honda Accord in the left lane. The driver of the Honda was another bone-head, and swerved in front of the Trolley Train. The traffic signal turned red, and they both slammed on their brakes. The Toyota was stradling two lanes and quite askew. I felt the Adrenaline surge through my body. I knew that no matter how good HotShot was, he couldn't stop the train in time.
Hotshot exclaimed, "Fire Rod!!!" He veered sharply to the right, towards the loading docks of an abandoned factory. He stopped the train just in time. He then calmly backed the train out.
He told me, "We call that maneuver a 'Fire Rod', because the guy who designed this stupid system; name was Rod, and they fired him."
The light was green and we continued on our way.
Is this a normal dream?

I don't know what most people dream about but yours sounds vivid since you remembered what the driver said and knew the models of the two cars. I'd say it's rare to lucid dream (if that's what it was) therefore it wasn't a normal dream. I think what makes it odd is the dialogue. I thought the ending was funny.

I had a false awakening once. I actually woke up twice in that dream but they were short. I only remember what happened the second time I falsely woke up because I thought I was awake that time. I walked into the living room and all of a sudden a wolf came out of nowhere and charged at me then I woke up.

Have you ever gotten stuck dreaming? Once I had a dream (forgot what it was mainly about) but I walked into a western saloon and everyone was a monster, kind of like the Where the Wild Things Are monsters (some of them) and I remember everyone was fighting... I started to wake up and I opened my eyes but they wouldn't stay shut. I would open my eyes and see my room then when they forced themselves shut I'd see my dream still playing so I gave up and finished the dream. What do you call that?

What I would call that is over-tired. Simply, you just needed more sleep. I've had experiences like that, where I've been awoken (thunderstorm, people waking me, etc.) and fell back asleep and continued the same dream.

This is odd... I really don't know what to think of it.

Have you ever read a "dream dictionary"? That would probably help you to some extent, but there's something about how detailed this is... Could you have been lucid dreaming?

I have not read a "dream dictionary" for quite some time. Even then, I read about 5 pages, and fell asleep. True. After that, I would read selected parts, related to the dreams I was having at the time. I could remember my dreams more often, when I was younger.
I had also studied somewhat, the psychology of dreams and related phenomenon. I was most interested in the conscious and sub-conscious mind. I am more interested in the physical aspects of the brain and cognition.
It is quite possible that I was 'lucid dreaming', although this is a rare event for me. I know this as a fact. The 'creatures' communicate with other Sentient creatures often in a sub-conscious (dreaming) state. They do this primarily so that more advanced Sentient creatures, like ourselves are not alarmed by them. There is much truth in the common saying, "I dreamed it up."
I did have a 'false awakening' about 10 years ago. I dreamt that it was Saturday. I woke up, put some tunes on, drank about 3 or 4 cups of coffee, made breakfast, usual stuff. Then I woke up! I was really, really late for work. It was Wednesday!

Excellent question. I would say that a normal dream is one that reflects, to some extent, our environment.

Normal. My dreams are incredibly weird and horrifying. That's why they are called dreams lol although your dream made me laugh a bit.
