So the other night I had a dream that my father was molesting me. In my dream there was a picture of me when I was maybe 5 and I was naked next to him. In reality I've never seen a picture like this. By the way I'm 22 now. So is it normal or could this of actually happened and my brain is blocking it?
Blocked memories are coming back to you. Sexually abused children offten get vivid flash back of the abuse. If I was you I would check into this and get counciling ASAP.
I agree, if you have any other reason that makes you suspect that you were molested other than the dream itself then go see someone who can help you. But I think its quite normal, I had a dream where my dad molested me once but I was 13 years old at that time and its normal then cause you're developing in a sexual way and your father is the first male figure in your life. My dad is wonderful and I can honestly say he never touched me! But you are older....maybe you read something on this site that stuck and made you dream about it, I think!
woah be careful here, really careful. People tend to like to imagine dark secrets that don't exist, you could have had that dream for any number of reasons. For example, I once dreamed I had a threesome with my mum and her fat german friend (I'm straight and female and not remotely attracted to my mum lol) and I'm pretty sure that never happened. After I joined this site I read so many "i want to bang my sister" stories I started dreaming my brother was trying to have sex with me. Its probably just a dream and means nothing.
On the other hand if you have the dream repeatedly and you have reason to suspect *(other than the dream!) your dad is capable of something like that then you should talk with a therapist and find out how to unlock your memories in a safe enviroment.
I had a dream last night about our office intern, and putting her into a sexual situation. Reality can be so disappointing!
