Is it normal dr.horrible kind of reminds me of the nerd and the jock?

I have recently discovered this movie called "Dr.Horrible" not to long ago. It is a really great movie in my opinion. It is also a musical and I love musicals. When I watch this movie I kind of get the vibe of the nerd challenging the jock. There is also a female involved. So it feels kind of like the jock(Captain Hammer) is beating on the Nerd(Dr.Horrible)to win the girl.

      How do you know if it is lame if you never watched it. They have the entire film being about 50minutes in one video posted on YouTube. If you are interested in buying it is only sold on Amazon. They also have a soundtrack and comic that goes with this you can buy separately. It was originally based on a web series and I guess people liked it enough that they made it a film.
