Is it normal cramps and bleeding after taking the morning after pill?

I took the morning after pill last friday (6 days ago), as the condom split whilst me and my partner were having sex. I have started experience typical period-like cramps, although my period is at least 2 weeks early, and bleeding. This is the third time I have taken the morning after pill this year for the same reasons (yes I know. Getting a coil fitted on Saturday) but I have never experienced this side effect before. I know spotting is normal, but I read somewhere online that if you experience lower abdominal pain in conjunction with bleeding you ought to contact your doctor - I don't have a doctor and it's the middle of the night. Has anyone else experienced both abdominal pain and bleeding after taking Levonelle? Is it normal or should I be worried?

      I got the pill from a walk in clinic and you have to take it in front of them, they didn't give me the packet smart arse

    Yes, you're supposed to start your "period" about 7 days after taking the pill so that means it worked (most likely)
