Is it normal couples dont do things like before?

I been in a lot of relationships and know many people who have. It seems like no one goes to the movies, or goes dancing, or takes you to dinner. It just does not seem to happen anymore. I mean all you have to do is ask "Hey do you want to be my boy/girlfriend" and its done! I noticed watching romance movies and I was just thinking "That never happens"? While it is a lot less nerve wrecking compared to knowing you have one shot and probobly will blow your date. Even at impressing a women might just give her candy and say "Do you want to be with me"?

    My first date with my fiance was lifting weights, showered at her place, cuddled as we napped in bed, a light picnic on the beach, cuddled and napped again in my suv,dinner at resturant then cuddled on her couch as we watched a movie. Then a kiss good night. =) This is standard for us of course.

    1985-86. That's what you're describing sounds like. Check this box if you want to be my girlfriend. Yeah. 6th grade. We didn't go on dates back then.

    My dating years are gone, but until I got married a few years ago, I took girls out to dinner on pretty much every date. Sometimes dinner and a movie/show. Often dinner/drinks after. On occasion dinner/drinks after/dancing. Sometimes we just fucked.

    Its because the world is changing. One night stands seem to be in right now. Women don't ask for much anymore, they just kind of take whatever they can get. When I got my first boyfriend I wish I had asked him for a date when he first asked to hang out with me. But being ignorant I just sat at his place and talked to him. Big mistake. I think you are right, i think people should date more before going out. My next boyfriend will def have to take me out on a date before we go out. I am being very strict now. Some people still go on dates now but its not as big as it use to be back in the day.
