Is it normal, could it be depression?

First of all, sorry about the length of this post, i just think that you guys need to know about everything that is going on. I have so much going on in my life at the moment. My mum got diagnosed with cancer not long ago, my dad treats me like shit no stop, my self hatred is stronger than ever and I'm pretty much just hating life. But one of the things that worries me, is that I'm hardly eating or sleeping. For the past few months, I've only been having one tiny tiny meal a day and only a few hours of sleep a night. This just seems to add to my sad and often irritable mood.
Idk, is my lack of sleeping and eating normal? And what should I do? Cause I honestly don't know what to think or do about anything anymore :(

It sounds like you are depressed, i know how you feel, my father is the same way, and i myself am just getting treatment for depression because i follow a similar behavior, go talk to someone, a friend, family member, psychologist, it doesn't matter who, blow off some steam by talking it'll do you some good.

Trust me, I'm kind of going through something similar. My dad is getting remarried and my mom is really depressed about it and is always yelling at me and my sister. At the beginning of last year, I was really heavy, but I've lost a lot of weight since then, and now I'm a tad heavier than average, but I'm mostly doing it on purpose to lose weight. I don't eat breakfast and lunch, and I barely eat dinner. I almost never sleep, but I'm tired all the time. I think my mom has noticed my depression and I'm trying really had to hide it but my boyfriend is always here for me!<3 Just smile and find happiness in your life.

You sound depressed. Who wouldn't be in a situation like that?
Is there anyone that you can confide to like a friend or a trusted adult?
Your appetite, mood and sleeping habits are most likely a result from your depression.
You could see a therapist, but don't get a doctor that will try to cult trip you into medications. Take up a hobby or spend more time with friends so you won't have to deal with your home life as much.

    Good Luck!

Agree! A friend of mine once had medication for a severe depression and it just made things worse.
