My 11 year old son had a friend around for a sleep over. I got up during night and saw then both pants down masturbating. Is this normal behavior for that age? They didn't see me but should I say something? Bit worried

Of course it's normal. Didn't you ever masturbate with buddies when you were a kid? I did. We would play strip poker and masturbate. It was fun. I only did that when I was prepubescent, like I assume your 11-year-old son is. I did jerk off with my cousin once when I was old enough to ejaculate. yeah they are just curious to see if everything on them is in working order and the only way to do so is to look around at others. I mean if they were masturbating TO each other then he might be gay. But if it was just to porn then it's nothing to worry about.
The fact you caught him in the act just may curb it for a while.
Pull him aside for a daddy-son conversation about not letting him have friends overnight if they're going to be jerking off... and you'll probably really embarrass him into behaving.
