Is it normal carpet touching/sound makes my teeth ache?

My carpet, I mean the stuff that carpenters lie down on floors.

When someone/something rubs against carpet and I hear/see it or when I touch carpet and hear/see/feel it, it makes my teeth ache and consumes my attention and always makes me want to ask them to stop. I can't touch carpet or my teeth will ache and if it is solid cloth or wood or something solid like that rubbing against carpet it is worse.

Is this normal?
