Is it normal bragging to his friends?

So I've liked this guy for 3 years.
But he's best friends with my brother
we started "talking" several weeks ago, and we've hung out a about once every week.
and i asked one of his friends, who's also my good friend, to talk to him asking what's going on with us. i just wanted to hear his reaction.
first, he said he doesnt know how long it'd last because of the awkwardness with my brother. but im ready to deal with that.
but then he said that he thinks he could get me to go all the way with him. and i've never given him any reason to think that.
is it normal for a guy to say that to his friends? should i laugh it off? or is that something that should concern me?

    Well I'm pretty sure all guys are like that. But do keep your eyes open for other red flags. You don't want to get caught up in him if that's all he's looking for.

    totally normal, especially if he is in high school. If not, you may want to let this one slide. Remember, young guys have 2 personalities, one with their friends and one they are alone with you.

    I think it's common, but immature of him to do that. I don't think he's boyfriend material at this point. he needs to grow up and learn how to respect women. You don't what him talking about you giving blow by blow details of what you guys got up to and laughing about it at the same time... it robs you of your dignity. If a guys gonna brag about you he should be bragging about what a great girl you are not how quickly he can bed you.

    LOL female responses to this are truly pathetic. This is very normal and typical of most any male. Men are sexual beasts. If you have a problem with that, you are naive and will likely have bad relations with men if you ever try to get close to one. Guys are always horny, and just because they say something about it to their friends does not mean they are out to use you. He may still develop great feelings for you. Let it slide. If anything, take it as a compliment. At least you know he'll take the bait, so to speak, if you are ever to try to get emotionally involved with one another. He wants you!
