Is it normal: body and mind often feel very separate?

This seems to frequently be the case for me. Examples:

- I will stay awake longer than I should and only think that my body is tired the moment I look at the clock. Otherwise, I seem to be extremely ignorant of the fact that I'm tired because my mind seems to be very energetic.

- After playing several series of badminton with other people, I play a game of badminton with my roommate and do quite well the first game. But, as I ask him for a second and third game with him, I suddenly lose hitting power and don't notice that I'm tired until I attempt full power shots and barely make it past the front of the net (and several times at that).

- My sex drive seems constant regardless of whether I am physically able or want to "do it" or not.

There are of course exceptions, such as when I am very sick... but I often feel that I lack this interoceptive sense that other people seem to have.

IIN?
