Is it normal being ugly and wanting to go into the show business?
Truth is, i'm not the popular girl of school, i'm just that someone who everyone knows by hard working and talents- Practically everyone around me knows that i sing and write lyrics and produce, and i do it fairly good. I have given tests on numerous occasions and have been told that. Besides performing and producing i also have gathered a good deal of information about how the business works, what are the expectations, how do you have to deal with it, i know the pros and cons and the practical side of stuff. (I have studied graphic design for a long time so i know about photographing, modeling, visual effects and video making too.)
But truth is, i'm not pretty. I'm not trying to make it exaggerated or anything, it's just a fact i've came to accept and stuff. I have downturned eyes, crooky nose, thin lips, along those lines. And in today's show business, i see no way of breaking through if you're not looking "perfect" enough. I've tried using all the "camera read makeup tricks" and none have worked.
So, do you think it will work out if someone like me gets into the show business? Is it normal to watch a not so pretty girl sing on stage? will you enjoy the performance? Or do you think i should opt for other things than singing or a complete different career?
