I think it's fun to learn basic self defence or survival skill. But stockpile food for years?Built bunker? What a waste of money..
It's never a bad idea to have a back up plan. Whether you're prepping for zombies, aliens, or the government, it can still get you through an earthquake.
I've actually always wanted to be a doomsday pepper. It sounds like fun, getting to go hunting and camping and shit all the time.
I'll admit I had plans to make a "bug out" bag at one point. Still do in fact. The end will come some time soon, though people trying to predict exactly when is stupid (agherr2012mmmmm!).
That's a load of horse crap! The world won't end. And if it does, I doubt your little stack of supplies is going to last long.
I'm a doomsday prepper. I stock up some food, but I'm mainly going to rely on trapping. We have a ton of geese that stay year round. They could with a smaller population.
Preping for stupid reasons, no. *cough* 2012 *cough*
The shit can hit the fan at some point, but the likelihood of that happening depends where you live.
If there's a possibility, it's good to be prepared for disaster.
My plan is just to get on the next flight out of the country, before it turns to anarchy.
Prepping for an international 'doomsday' is stupid and/or pointless though.
That was funny. Bring on season 2. the hippy in the neuclear base was the funniest
