No. It is a woman's job to make sure she is always sexy and beautiful as this is the only thing she is good for in life.

Who cares about looks? Health-wise, she is in trouble. Too many people focus on how obesity looks and try to convince obesity sufferers that their poor health just makes "more to love".

In reality, OP could face diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disorders, and death. Yes, even death. But, you know, it's all good in America where we have no info on this condition, so we encourage it and banish individuals with healthy weight because we're threatened by their slender look. Good ole shallow America can't see the monster underneath the fat destroying yet another's life.

In case you're wondering, I don't encourage the overweight to just "love the way they are", because the day I do that, I have to encourage smokers to smoke and alcoholics to keep drinking. Obese people are killing themselves. Smokers are killing themselves. Same difference. It's not just looks, princess.

Yes. You misunderstood me. I thought she was telling her not to care about looks, so I said it's more than looks.

I don't condone obesity either because of health reasons, but because she said "as a woman" I took it as though she is saying all women should be concerned about the way they look.

I get it now. The part where she said "as a woman". I believe the correct the term is "as a person".

Welll all men are supposed to look good too. Not by law or something but if they hope to attract mates, that is. Same combat. (although apart from a few things you can change such as weight and clothes most of one's beauty is fixed)

Sugar, fat, and salt are all appetite stimulants. They've done plenty of research on this idea at Duke University. Count calories, make sure your meals are always about half veggies and some fruit, and make sure your diet is low in fat salt and sugar. It's hard to believe but you won't even feel hungry.

Yes, because it's very hard. It could be emotional eating...or stress...or even boredom. But the question is....do you want to die early? If not, I'd suggest looking for a way to start losing weight.

To quote you, 'eat like a pig' and 'when I look in the mirror, I see how fat I have become' - don't you see anything positive when you look in the mirror?

It might be quite common for people with low self-esteem to be harsh on themselves as you seem to be. Also, controversially, it can be argued that some overweight people subconsciously make themselves overweight as it benefits them in some way. Being overweight can (for some people) create a barrier between you and the world, it can cushion and protect you, it might push other people away. Maybe you are missing someone else in your life so you have turned to food (especially since you say that you have gained a lot of weight). What is missing in your life that you feel like you need or want?

You are a valuable person whether you are underweight, normal or overweight. Learn to accept yourself at any weight. Look into any underlying issues you might have with self-esteem, confidence, your goals in life, desires, etc.

Also, you don't have to diet a day in your life. Just make positive changes, change one meal and work from there. Like have a big healthy bowl of porridge with fruit in the morning, drink more water, have fun! And look for new hobbies, there are endless lists of hobbies that can fill your time and take your mind off food until your next meal time.

Well it depends on your appetite you know. But you can still eat a lot and still eat healthy to lose weight. Fruits and veggies :). By the way I'm curious, when you eat as much as you do, are you a very gassy woman?

Do You have people (minus Yourself) badgering You about loosing weight? If You don't then don't worry about it but If You insist that You are Fat then loose the weight.

Yes, because the food probably gives you both physical and psychological satisfaction. It could be emotional eating or boredom. If it's the former, try finding a way to address the underlying emotional issues, perhaps with counseling or by keeping a mood diary to vent your feelings. For boredom eating, I've found it helpful to find an interesting activity to do for 20 minutes when I feel hungry. If I am still hungry after the 20 minutes are up, I eat. I hope this helps.

If you're serious about losing weight, all you have to do is cut out sugar. Once you've stopped eating anything with sugar in it, and that includes sweet drinks and breakfast cereals, you won't be as hungry and you will stop overeating. I didn't believe this until I tried it myself.

Substitute sweet drinks with sparkling mineral water. I think I'm addicted to the bubbles.

It's not always how much you eat, but also when you eat.
Pig out at breakfast every day, eat a moderate lunch and skip dinner as much as you can.
Also, exercise is very important. Try walking at least a mile 3-5 times a week.

I always thought it was bad to skip meals, puts your body into starvation mode.

It is bad to skip breakfast. This slows your metabolic processes down. One major reason why many people are overweight or obese, is because they eat large meals at supper time , and then relax and / or sleep, where their metabolic rate is low. The excess (unused) calories then store themselves, principally as fat. Skipping dinner or eating your smallest meal at supper time is the way to go. Regular exercise is also very important.
Large breakfast, moderate lunch, small dinner (or none), every day!!!
