If adults watch hentie are they breaking the law? I ask since They said there is a law against this and I accidently stumbled apon lollicon when looking for vampire fanfiction I was looking for helsing and true blood. I read somewhere that lollicon isunderage girls or boys in anime. However most anime including hentie are underage kids yet are targeted torse adults? when you think about it why is it kids in all the animation if its meant for adults? I thought it was normal for the most but that becuase I watched as a younger kid but looking at it why is thereso many kids in anime?

    Anime is eastern animation. In the western animation shows like Rugrats will be aimed towards children while Family Guy has an older demographic. Anime can also vary between the age groups.

    Hentai is a strange place among what's right or what's wrong. Some hentai does feature young children but unlike photographic pornography there is no victim so it technically isn't a crime. It's just drawings and no one involved in that is a victim. It still seems wrong though.

    I'm sorry, but I'm gonna be a rude ass here- yes. Yes, it's normal.

    I'm still not sure if watching lolicon or shotacon is going to put someone in jail (Personally, I think it should because no matter how you spin it, it's still CHILD PORNOGRAPHY), but watching other hentai is NOT going to get someone in trouble. Hentai is porn. Now does normally watching porn put someone in jail? No, it doesn't. So why should hentai?

    Not EVERY SINGLE ANIME is for kids. Pokémon? Yes, it is. Digimon? Yes. But anime like Elfen Lied and Hellsing feature excessive violence every episode and shows like Koi Kaze feature incest- would you allow a ten year old to watch that? No, no you wouldn't.

    Family Guy and Futurama are cartoons, so does that mean someone's five year old can watch it like they watch Adventure Time or Ben 10? They're cartoons, and cartoons = kids, right? Just like not every cartoon is for kids, not every anime is for kids. Anime is for everyone. There's always at least one anime out there for anyone. Anime is NOT just for kids.

      Im not saying that. Im saying anime has alot of porn with
      young teens in it. Yet it is told by japan itself porn anime is for adults. In most those anime it is highschool kids. The fact they are only for adults I do not trust I think they secretly made market for young pervy teens and will not admit it.

        Well, let me tell you about Poyopoyo, LilPri and Chi's Sweet Home...I DARE YOU to find anything naughty in those!

        Full Metal Alchemist is aimed at teens, but isn't sexually perverted (unless you count one moment in one episode (out of 51) where Ed grabs someone's boob BY ACCIDENT, and that's made out to be a total accident rather than Ed trying to get off over the woman. However, there is some violence but it isn't gratuitous. It brings up some very important questions about good and evil and ethics and science.

        Hetalia looks like it could be kid-friendly because it teaches you about history and politics and DOES NOT have porn in it at all... BUT there is a lot of bad language! It's even funnier when the bad language is in the Chibitalia section

        Teenagers can have sexual and violent urges just as adults do. In fact, I bet you do as well (as much as you don't want to admit it!!)

          Actually, I made a mistake... in episode 15 of Hetalia, Italy drops one of Japan's books and it has a naked lady on it. There is no actual sex, although there are a few moments of risque dialogue and/or actions (In the previous episode, Germany drags Italy off another country and Italy starts patting WHAT HE THINKS is a pair of boobs, but turns out to be Germany's bum.
          Germany is carrying Italy over his shoulder like a fireman.)

        Okay, I get what you're saying.

        I'm pretty sure the general age of consent in Japan in 13 (But in some places in Japan, it's prohibited for adults to have sex with anyone under 18). Really the biggest explanation I can give is that it's just a cultural difference. What the US finds unacceptable, Japan doesn't have that much of an issue.

      I should have gave an example "princess rio" is about two female girls who are going to school from what I know and fall in love with each other and has graphic sex scenes in it yet I assume is R rated and I was told the anime like that are targeted torse adults. How is it about highschool girl if it is for adults?Would that not seem for pervy highschool kids? Otherwise that is saying it is for pedophiles.

        There are plenty of hentai out there that feature high schools doing things that would probably get someone arrested here in the US for child pornography. To be completely honest, I don't watch hentai at all, so I'm probably not the best person to explain it, but it's mostly, if not completely, a cultural thing.

        There are plenty of anime made for adults in general that feature the main characters in high school, whether it's hentai or not. For example, Death Note is made for adults, but at the beginning of the series, the main character was in high school.

      I use to listen to a mob of them is dating which anime guy. Its like its a damn cartoon! Than they yelled at me for liking the character they wanted to sleep with. It bugs.

          I know I accidentally stumbled across some. I thought I was looking at romance and click a video with a pic of a girl and boy holding hands and I thought it was romance than I click it and I watch a girl being raped by this octopus thing and her boyfriend is trying to save her while it puts its tentacles inside her. I was like what in the world am I watching?

    The only Anime I ever got into was "Sailor Moon" and then when that went off, I pretty much never watched any more of them. But I cannot deny how sexy those anime guys are! Damn! I wish they were real.

            Haha, I used to want to be Sailor Saturn and Sailor Mars too, but before they came out with Sailor Saturn, I had already imagined a Sailor Saturn character, and oddly enough, her actual character was very similar to what I imagined.
