Is it normal after 40 days?

I was a chronic marijuana user for about 2 1/2 months. And by chronic I mean 1 or 2 times a week. I decided that I needed to stop. I needed my life back. When I started to quit I felt funny. I felt like I was out of my body and that I wasn't really controlling it. It felt like my mind And body was on auto pilot. Then the feeling went away for a while and now it's back. I've been clean for 40 days and I'm scared that I'm always going to stay like this. Please help.

  • MARIJUANA IS NOT PHYSICALLY ADDICTIVE.

If you experienced any symptoms of addiction, then it's a product of either; another drug you are taking, or all in your head little koi-fish.

Marijuana isn't a "drug". If you have trouble with withdrawl symptoms restrict your drug abuse from anything else. Okay marijuana might be a drug, but it is not addictive and less harmful than cigarette smoking. Don't think about it, and for the post above me.... Take one in the ass.

It is normal just stay clean and you should, over time, gain back control.

I often feel like this as well, before and after I started smoking. Try keeping a balanced diet, get plenty of sleep and work out. I don't think it has anything to do with weed, but that's just my opinion.

    that's not propaganda.

there are just too many sonters with unclear perceptions about their state and the state of other slacker stoners around them.

  • Fun fact- marijuana is addictive! People can e addicted to anything in the world - sex eatig working out. It's a mental addiction and as with quitting any thig you will have withdrawls.. But after only smoking for 10 weeks that isn't normal. I have friends who have smoked for years and they can stop any time - i've seen them do it. Try therapy, no joke. It will make ending a mental addicion easier and identify what makes you feel the way you do

and yes, it is most definitely a withdrawal symptom. whoever thinks pot doesn't have withdrawal symptoms is an IDIOT. anxiety, irritability, loss of appetite, etc.. the list is endless. you may not be hurling over the toilet, shaking and vomiting like a crack-head, but there are still other things that happen.

1-2 times a week is a casual smoker. Chronic means 4-5 times daily. Duhhh

What your going through is incredibly common. They're called PAWS (post accute withdrawal symptoms). It will take your body possibly two years to heal from the drug use. Chances are likely this will taper over time. I've been through it. Maybe find an outpatient support group. They work with solutions to such problems. If you don't address them, the stress they bring on could cause you to relapse into drug use.

You're definitely not experiencing symptoms of withdrawl... simply because marijuana doesn't have those affects. I would say it's your mind more then anything. Just stay off the stuff and it will probably go away again. Maybe pick up a new hobby! Good luck!
