Ok the fact that it's only STD's that seem to be stopping you from cheating on your wife makes me not wanna tell you how ridiculous that is
i think he means he will only have sex after marriage (i hope so). in that case, well, i like the way you think. stds are hard to get rid of, some being perminent. don't risk it. only have sex if you love her. this sounds like an old guy thing to say, but still, don't worry about marriage, just if you WOULD marry her, 'cause you love her.
Join the freaking club!!! Since you are married you're suppose to only do your wife. That will prevent you from catching anything unless she have doubts of cheatng like u and have already and have an std.
Dude me to I'm very careful who I'm doing. I make sure they are clean by a getting checked by professional doctor. And in high school I used condoms a lot for safety.
Normal, but only if you have a reason to worry!
If you practice monogamous relationships the risk will be minimal or non existent (given you know your partner's health well) You are more likely to be exposed to it if you sleep around and have unprotected sex. (if you do choose to sleep around a condom should protect you against most of the stuff)
I only know of 2 kinds of people who have had them
1 The extremely promiscuous (one night stands, orgies etc countless numbers)
2 The ones who were cheated on, where the cheating partner caught something and passed it on
due to the fact that 1 out of 3 people who are sexually active have cooties, I'd say you're right to have precautions.
It's very normal. A lot of STDs can be treated but they still have long lasting, maybe even permanent consequences. Plus the treatment tends to be pretty expensive. The ones you should be worried about can't be cured. All it would take is a defective or slipped condom to result in a slow lingering death and another defective or slipped condom to turn you into a killer.
These days anyone who advocates premarital abstinence becomes the subject of ridicule but if you save it for your wife and she does the same you won't have to go through the hassle of lab work.
