Is it normal a complete online stranger made me cry?

I was playing this game called "Draw My Thing" and when they said and I quote "DON'T POINT TO IT LIKE WE DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DRAWING" I left after my turn and just started silently crying since my friend and my mom are in the next room watching t.v..., I'm better now, sort of..(minus the tear lines and somewhat red eyes..),but I just wanted to ask if it was weird or not. I think the reason it upset me was because ppl draw arrows to specific things all the time(9/10) after they've finished doing whatever their word was just to help.. I may have overreacted some. What do you think :'(?

      They weren't a troll though D:. They were pretty nice at first but the arrows made them freak out >.<.

    It sounds like you were overreacting, but it's normal to cry over silly things sometimes. Was there something else bothering you that day? Maybe that's just what set you off.

    The problem with communicating with text is that you can't tell what the other person's tone is. That person might have meant it in a light hearted, joking sort of way. You don't know the person, so you don't know what sort of sense of humour they have, and you don't know if they were super irritated or just slightly annoyed.

        Don't feel bad about it. I let things build up and don't react when I should, and then the littlest thing sets me off crying sometimes. Sometimes you just need a good cry.

    no, it's not normal. There has to be something else going on in your life if you get so hyper-emotional about silly shit like that. So, relax, go for a hike, tell the world to go fuck itself and you'll be alright.

    It is a little overaction on your part, as you should think more of yourself to let ANY online stranger make you cry over ANYTHING! You might have a little bit of a self image issue.

    Don't let online people upset you, half of them are there to do just that!

    You sound way too sensitive. The sooner you accept that people aren't going to whim and cover up for the benefit of your emotional needs the better. Once there is an acceptance there, there is nothing to lose as you know that the worst that can happen is someone snubs you or insults you and what are words?

    At some point we all will cry over things, but why let someone off the internet effect you that much?

      You have a word or you choose one and you have to draw it before time runs out for the people guessing. It's usually really fun :).

    It sounds like you overreacted, especially since it was a stranger... Life may crush you if you're such a delicate flower, so I suggest you mature into a wonderful Venus flytrap, get some teeth on you and you'll be alright :)

        Yeah, when there are other things on your mind the smallest thing can send you over. If you needed it, then that's still a good thing.

        People are pretty nice on here, but I've been on some forums where people say the most fucked up shit. Been told to put a bag on my head, told my teeth are shit. I was talking about body mod or something and people made allusions to childhood sexual abuse.. (which actually did happen, go figure)

        Point being, trolls on the internet will say the most hurtful shit they can to try to get a reaction. It's best not to let it bother you and just take it as trolling and move on. At best it's just someone looking for a laugh. At worst, it's a pretty sad person who is trying to make themselves feel better by taking it out on the world.

        Are you playing Draw Something? I play that and I use arrows to specify things all the time. Moral of the story; don't ever let people get you down, especially complete strangers, they're not worth it (:
