This is not normal. He should respect your decision and if that girl used to bully you he should understand that. If he loved you he'd never even put the problem this way, he wouldn't want to break up with you because of this small, stupid thing. It's like he cared more of that girl than about your feelings. It hurts a lot when someone bullied you and it's hard to forgive that. To the hell with him, girl! I think God believes you deserve better and took him away for you in order to give you something better. Cheer up, girl! Be happy that bastard is gone.

Tell him to go to hell, and while there he can have a fun time with all the people that have been mean to him. You could get along with her and just not be her friend, but if he is trying to tell you what to do and then if you don't do it, he threatens you, I think that is mental abuse.

Count your blessings! This guy sounds like a really toxic person. Also he sounds delusional, "He says god believes he deserves better then me because I won't do this for him." I think he is either a control freak or he is looking for an excuse to break up with you. It doesn't sound like somebody you are likely going to have to spend a lot of time with, so I see no reason why it should matter to him. I'd move on with no regrets if I were you. Women rarely have trouble finding a new boyfriend.
