Is it normal - numbness on left side of neck & chest
I've been having trouble sleeping for a few years now, but just this year has been really bad. First, I wasn't able to sleep on my left side (which has been going on for years now), which I learned to live with. I then wasn't able to sleep on my right side & now I can't even sleep on my back.
When I lay down at night, about 5 minutes into it the left side of my neck & part of my chest (also left side) will become numb. I then spend the next 3-4 hours tossing, turning & checking my pulse on my neck. Even if I ignore the numbness, I either get a sharp pain in my chest or end up gasping for air and having to walk it off.
It's kinda obvious that this isn't normal, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or knows how to deal with it & what the cause of it is? I had gone to see a doctor 2 years ago about this issue (when it wasn't as severe) but he simply brushed it off as anxiety.
