Is it normal 3 bra's are the same size but, don't measure the same?

I noticed that when I purchased my 30D bra online (have trouble finding that size in stores) It was was bigger than my other 2 30D bra's.

All three are made by different brands.

One is by Gossard (it has the smallest fit) the back only measures 21 inches when laying flat. The inside of the cup measures 7 inches from side to side, the height of the bra is 4 inches.

Another is by Curvy Kate (it has the biggest fit) the back measures 24 inches when laying flat. The inside of the cup measures 7 1/2 inches from side to side, the height of the bra is 5 1/2 inches.

Another is by Marks & Spencer, the back measures 24 inches when laying flat. The inside of the cup is 6 1/2 inches from side to side, the height of the bra is 5 inches.

I know I am a 30D but, the only bra that fits is the one by Marks and Spencer. The Gossard bra's cups fit but, the underwire hurts my ribcage after a while and the band seems a bit too small also. The Curvy Kate bra is big in the cup area although the band fits perfectly. So does this mean I'd be a 30C in Curvy Kate bra sizes and maybe a 32D in Gossard? And why don't all bra sizes have the same fit?

(sorry for any typos)

It`s about time all bra manufacurers got together & agreed on sizes.

Yeah, bra sizes are supposed to be standardised, but they really aren't.

Normal . You just need to find a brand that fits you well just like your jeans and shoes. If you buy online just be sure of their return policy and try a few different brands to find a couple that fit your body type.

All clothing and shoe brands have the potential to be slightly different. Example, I wear a small shirt in Nike, and an XS in everything else. Also with boots, I wear a 7 in Wesco (very popular climbing boot for linemen) and an 8 in everything else!

It is all brand to brand.

Btw, Congrats on the huge breasts!

it's awful, truly. My partner complains about that too, also, she's quite "in-between" (just for example, not using her actual measurements, between 75C and 80B)and depending on brand, either size may fit(or not).
I'm pretty much done with bra's unless it's not socially acceptable to go braless.

Happens to all of us females. It's normal, and so aggravating.

Loads of my friends and ex-girlfriends have said the same thing. Some of them had their size wrong and didn't know until they had a measuring (ironically at Marks and Sparks). But all of them said that Marks bras consistently fit them better.

There was some other place my ex used to drag me where she said the bras were usually right (she was a D cup too) but I can't have been paying much attention because I can't remember which one it is. I remember what it smells like, if that helps. :D Oh, and I know that Primark bras are dodgy.

I don't know why they vary the size. I get the same when I buy suits, though. I vary between two waist sizes, chest sizes, leg lengths, and jacket lengths. Unless I keep trying things on (takes about five attempts) I look like I've been dressed for comedy effect.`Then again, I look a bit like that even when I'm trying.
