Is it normal 23 and work pt?

I love my bf but he's lazy. I go to school ft and work a lot. I want us to move in together soon but idk if he will be resposible enough and I don't want to feel like I'm his mom or pulling all of the financial weight. He is a cashier with no motivation to do anything else. He is almost perfect in every other sense but this makes me mad. I try to tell him to AT LEAST work ft but he gets mad. Anyway, is it normal to not want to work ft and be 23?!

he sounds smart to me. Why would you want to spend all your time working at a job you hate? It doesn't make sense to waste your life like that. There are other ways of making money. If he is happy not having a full time job, why would you want to take that away from him. He's 23 ffs. There's a whole lot of living left to do before you need to be settling down and that whole shtick. Would you rather he got a full time job, came home exhausted every night and resented you for forcing him into a "career"?

  • Well I wouldn't want to work full time at a crappy cashier minimum wage. He should get a real job and maybe that's gonna motivate him. Maybe try helping him find something that can interest him and end this problem.

He probably doesnt want work hard, bc his mommy & daddy take care of him. Hes lazy & if I were you I wouldnt even THINK hes mature enough to get a place with you...until he gets a better job or TRIES/WANTS to better himself. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Your man is a lazy peice of trash, it's time for him to grow the hell up and start acting like man, if he doesn't do that then leave him.
