Is it nomal to not hate my absentee father?

I've never met my father and he has made no effort to be a part of my life since I was young. Most people think I should be angry, I should hate him but I dont. I dont really feel anything toward him. Is this normal?

If it ain't no thing, than it ain't no thing. Carrying grudges against people you'll probably never meet is rarely healthy.

I use to be like why did my dad not stay and why did he never look for me but as I got older I just stopped wondering I think it's normal. And I'm 23 now

Why would that not be normal?

If you've led a good life, and you are happy with the person you've become and don't feel like an outcast or have "major" issues, good for you.

I tend to think people with missing parents use that as an excuse for WAAAAY to much wrong doing.

I agree... I never let it keep me from achieving anything but my relationship with (or without) him makes me wonder what my motives are when I enter relationships... sigh
