Is it ever okay to tell someone what another said about them?

Like "she/he doesn't care about you" even though the person obviously does. (And yes, my teacher does care about me, GypsySailor. -_-).

I just felt very bad at the time for believing what my mom said that I felt like my teacher should know why I apologized to her. It was all a misunderstanding, really. I tried to send her a letter sometime back then and when I didn't get one, that's when my mom told me that. But I'm thinking it went to the wrong person, simply. I just hope my teacher gives me a chance to explain myself better.

I think if it stands to cause the person harm in the future then yes. Otherwise it's better off left unsaid

Who, if not a parent, can you expect complete honesty from? I don't see the problem here.
