Yesterday, my stomach hurt like hell and when I was on the road I begged for some stores/establishments to use their restroom because I don't know any public restrooms nearby.
They won't let me but I found out a restroom afterwards.
Should I be embarrassed about begging like that? How about you?

They wouldn't let you?? Assholes. Why did you need their permission anyways? Just march right in and go find a bathroom. Hell, buy a candy bar or some chapstick or something on the way out if you need to be a "customer"

Ok. I work at a hotel and I have several people a day asking to use our restroom. It is not a public bathroom and it is behind the desk. Even though I would like to I can not allow anyone that is not an employee behind the desk. These people get angry and go off because I can't let them use the restroom. I had a gentleman with his maybe ten year old son come in and he asked if his son could use the restroom. I said I'm sorry but I can't allow him behind the desk. This father went off on me cussing me left and right. Slammed the door ran out screaming she said no to a child. They might have been the same as us and even though they would like to let you they can not.
Yes its normal. When you got to go you got to go. Nothing to be ashamed about.
My worksite doesn't have a restroom, so I have to ask a neighboring edifice if I can use theirs. I feel embarrassed every time I ask.
