Is it common for men with ptsd from war to be incapable of sex or intm

I was with a tank commander from Desert Storm for six months and he quit touching me after the first two. Is that normal?

Actually yes. I have a very close friend (one of my ex's) with PTSD and his sex/intimacy drive crashes at times, sometimes for extended and lengthy periods. With PTSD it's a constant fear and flashback, panic attacks, general feelings of dread and discomfort no matter the situation. Anything can be a trigger no matter how small.......Just try to lead a normal life or relationship with all that! Although I wouldn't always pin it down to PTSD. I'm simply saying it POSSIBLY CAN cause someone to distance themselves from anyone/anything in sexual/intimate/friendly/etc. ways, no matter how the PTSD occurred.
