me and my bf have been together for 2 years now and he said he might want to go to a club on new years. i can’t get in cuz i’m only 20. but we’ve spend the last 2 new yeare’s together. but just a week ago he was saying how clubs are expensive and how he would want to just lay low.. so he would be out and i would be by myself
Find someone that wants to be with you, and make it worth their while.....if you know what I mean! 😜
Maybe you could celebrate during the day before he goes out with his friends?
his friends.. he says that since him and i spent the last two new years together he should be able to be with his friends since he never sees them anymore. i’m 20 so i can’t get into clubs yet
I don’t see the problem with it, he has a point. New Years for me is a time to party and celebrate, not necessarily be with my family (but that’s my opinion). If you are sad about him breaking tradition of being together on NYE, maybe you should tell him you are upset about it. Remember that if he gets mad, he is probably just frustrated about missing his friends. Could you suggest anything to your boyfriend that you could do with him AND his friends? Like a house party or going to a bar instead. Meet eachother halfway, and compromise. That’s what relationships are all about.
I think I’d only be worried if he was going alone, because that might mean that he was planning on a hookup. Where I live, the only reason people go to clubs is to get a little.
Also, I think the worse part about this is that he went back on his word, not that he wants to go to a club.
One last thing, who said you had to be alone? If he is adamant about going to the club with his friends, then maybe you should spend NYE with your friends too!
well here in cali you have to be 21 to get into most bars. oh and trust me his friends aren’t like that. they wouldn’t compromise their plans so their friends gf can tag along. half of his friends are like 40 and single and so i think it’s obvious why they are going out. my friends are gonna be busy w their SO.
what do you suggest i say to my boyfriend about this? it’s not even 100% that he’s doing this i don’t think he’s bought his tickets yet.
