To be annoyed by mentally disabled people? I don't hate them, and I think they deserve the same level of dignity as anyone else, but they annoy me. And I'm not talking about the ones that are high functioning, I'm talking about the ones that pick their noses, wear pants that expose their butt cracks, drool, be gross, make loud noise and smell bad. It just pisses me off, and I'm in high school so I have two classes with one person and my god does it irk me. I like high functioning people, there's one autistic dude that's funny as he'll because of the way he acts/talks and he's a cool dude.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    No-one likes bad smells, nose picking and loud noises. Pooping all over the place is the worst. Keep your distance and don't ever get a job as a carer. I think it's quite normal, it's just that most people don't say it out loud.

      Yeah. I have a job as a daycare worker, and I quite enjoy it, but I can not stand disabled people haha, so I'm not gonna work around them.

    You can't control the things that you get irritated by. While yes people will think you're bad for some reason I wouldn't say you are.

    You understand that they're human beings and not to be treated badly, your irritation is uncontrolled. Some people even get furious at the sound of people eating or breathing, it doesn't mean that those people should get treated badly.

    It's normal, because it seems to me that you aren't annoyed by the fact that they have a mental illness, you're annoyed by them doing things that are socially unacceptable. You're not bad/evil. (Or if you are, it's not because of that.)

    You should seriously reconsider your empathy, these people are sick is not their choice. Of course is difficult but In think You should make An effort to understand and maybe try to work your fears on this diversity.

I have a lot of shut going on in life myself, so I get what it's like to be mentally impaired or stunted. I'm a chick, by the way.
