Is it always creepy to introduce yourself online instead of in person?

Even if there aren't good real life opportunities to introduce yourself i.e. you see each other 'around' on random days but are both busy with work (not at the same place).

It's super creepy - don't do it 5
It's not necessarily creepy but it shows a lack of social skills 14
It could be appropriate in certain scenarios 13
It's fine - just do it. 11

Im the opposite, i usually find it harder to tell certian parts of my personality in real life. Its easier for me to introduce myself online.

i came across a psycho once in person at night that could have killed me instantly .. without a doubt, you could see the cold blooded looks in his eyes, a heartless stare, I'll never forget it ... and why didn't he kill me? ( i dunno, maybe it wasn't my time who knows ) ..... now till this day ask myself, is it better in person, or online?

  • I'd rather introduce myself to someone in person rather than over the internet.
