We admire them because we are sick of restrictions and murders are an example of rebellion, of liberation, of defying the rules that limit us. They respect no boundaries and there is something intriguing about that. They authentically portray our deepest desires to act out on our natural instinct. Every creature has a killing instinct that is deeply ingrained in their DNA. But society has taught us to repress those feelings. To be ashamed. To calculate the risks. We have known punishment. We've been taught rules who are meant to restrain the latent beast that lies in our very core.

That is why we have a subconscious admiration for murders. Because they have cut the chains that society has put around their minds. They broke free.

Now i don't want to find excuses for murder. I just try to justify and explain what people are too afraid to admit.

    Yes, it should be acceptable.

    • This makes sense but people can live freely without needing to terrorize everyone else.

I hate rules and limitations but I don't like hurting people either although I will admit I get homicidal thoughts, but they're usually directed towards someone who I feel is deserving of it.

People shouldn't let rules dictate they're lives or let themselves be controlled. It's true serial killers often live this way, but so do other people who don't kill for selfish needs. It's a mix of free thinking and extreme sadism that seems to create the serial killer. Unfortunately people who don't live by the rules are often unsuccessful because they don't fit in.

    • Maybe in a weird way some people view killers as heroes, or pehaps some kind super human. It's just so strange and out of this world for a human to kill multiple people without having a good purpose (self-defense,etc.)

      Does that make sense?

It's acceptable to find anyone physically attractive, since that's a superficial judgement not necessarily influenced by prior actions or personality.

It's less socially acceptable to find someone who has killed another without justification attractive BECAUSE of their actions. To cruelly take a life is to deny someone deserving of their piece of existence that piece. To find that morally corrupt behaviour attractive suggests either your moral compass isn't aligned with wider society, or that you're sufficiently detached from the reality of killing (i.e. in your mind it is romanticised, abstract, glorified, cartoonish) that you view the actions through a warped lens.

    • I also wonder why some people find dangerous criminals such as serial killers to be attractive. There are a few examples, but nobody really knows for sure. I guess it's different for everybody.

Hey Ted Bundy was a handsome man, but just a little bit on the rapey side.

        • Honestly, I don't really see what was so handsome about him. I've seen pictures of him, and he's just mainly...blah to me. Then again, I guess everyone has different opinions on who is attractive and not.

If you mean physically a persons mental health does not necessarily determine how attractive a person is.

I've never thought a violent criminal was attractive in a special or tingly way. The violent crimes they commit trump anything less than ugly about their appearance. The criminal's actions make him or her ugly.

You can find anyone attractive regardless of what they've done, but if you're attracted to them because they're murderers, you have deep problem.
