Is it a neurological problem

Since May 6, 2010 I have been having constant headaches that have not gone away. I have had a seizure once, but it was due to me taking drugs and drinking at the same time (when I was younger) I sometimes have numbness on the right side of my body or even just random places; fingers, toes, arm, etc. My head feels numb too at times and when it does I feel like I'm going to pass out. I sometimes black out or stare off info space and realize that 10 - 20 minutes just passed by. I have an awful memory due to a severe anxiety disorder, so I don't know if this has anything to do with this. I saw a neurologist and he said there is nothing wrong.. Should I get a second opinion? Or what...

the numbness that your feeling is most like ly due to your anxiety disorder. hyperventilation is a common sourc eof tingling all over the body or in random spots . it can last for days . you mus t not b e on the right medication . when you feel tingly allover take a paper bag and breathe into it till the tingling stops. this will help your body to control the properflow of carbons. having a headache is normal with constant anxiety . you may not even know that you are hyperventilating .
if we think rationally about how the body works, you can see that your symptoms are not a serious health concern. for instance if you had tingling and numbness in your head that did not progress to worse symptoms ie blurred vison , slurrred speech. then you know you didnt ahve a stroke even a mini one. if you have numbness in your toes and left arm lets say you know your not having a stroke as the symptoms would appear on t he same side of the body for a stroke. i would rcommend you ask the doctor for a antidepressant and an antianxiety pill . celexa is a good antidepressant and clonazepam is a good antianxiety with low addiction properties. expec tsome normal side effects , from these. including upset stomach . nausea etc like all drugs they have side effects although they are usually mild.if you are already on medication please ask the doctor to switch it or include anotehr drug in the mix .

When in doubt, get a second opinion. Hope you're not having mini-strokes.. :(

    Good luck.

I sooo understand! Am on year 3 1/2 of a near constant migraine with similiar side effects! Get as many opinions as u possibly can and just try to get thru it. They will most likely tell u all kinds of things, it's all in ur head, it's stress, u r fakin, but just keep going to different people until u get some sort of help. Best advice I can offer is not to even bother with neurologist, go straight to DRsthat specialize in head pain. Try to google headache centers and see what's closest to u. I'm still fighting to get help but am gettin closer to an answer. Good luck, I know how u r feelin and I'm sooo sorry for u!

squeegla how old are you > migraine are very common in menstrating women ,i myself had them constant in my teens and early 20,s now tha tim in my thirties i rarely get them . migraines ar ento a good thing . some studies sugges thtat youar emore like ly to have a stroke when you r older but that doesnt mean you will. if you have seen a neurologist and had a ct scan youar bes tto rule out things liek small tumours or aneurysm . however if the headaches are your only symptom your not like ly to hav ea tumour . brain tumours are rare and they almost all progress to includ eother more serious symptoms . you could have an aneurysm but if you had a ct scan it would have to be very small to misss it . aneurysms can burst and cause severe injury or death . however this usually happens from a large aneurysm. ask for apet scan or mri to rule out anything small.check your hormonal levels to see if they are out of balanc eand als o your thyroid.
