Is is normal to have increadibly pleasurable sensations in my head?

Every time I have attempted to ask others if they have experienced this feeling the words to explain it escape me...maybe writing it will be easier. There are many things in daily life that spark an intensely pleasurable sensation all over the surface of my head. Actually it seems deeper like its the very surface of my brain but the best way I can describe it is like brain sex or a mental orgasm. Being caressed on my back will usually do it so there are some sexual connotations to it but often it is strongest when I witness someone intently focused on something. They could be studying or paying the bills...it seems to be related to witnessing others making decisions and thinking. It happens immediately when I get close to someone who is shopping or looking up information.
What I would love to know is if anyone else experiences this sensation as well. It is a very nice feeling but even with a bad description of it I always figured if it was normal everyone would know exactly what I meant...and they never do. Kinda like the first time you experienced de-ja-vu, you didn't know the word for it yet, but people understood what you meant anyway.

    Just to update anyone who might be interested--there a a group of us forming on Facebook right now. We have started calling it Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response or ASMR. Our goals on the site are to gain some scientific answers on the phenomenon, get a website going(already in-process) and to continue building a community for those that feel this sensation...or even those that just want to show their support and feel curious about what we are experiencing.

    I believe they're called endorphins, once you start doing it all the time you can eventually control it like I do, I feel it mostly in my neck though but if I'm REALLY happy I feel it all over my head and sometimes in my body too.

      OMG thank you for helping me find that! It was the reason I created a profile here in the first place. I cannot believe there are so many that experience this and yet there is really no other information out there to tell us what this is!
      Any researcher out there feel like figuring this out for all of us? ;)
