My period is regular because I am on birth control but it is rather dark and quite gross. I really don't know if this is normal, please help!
What shade of "dark" is it?
This could be a side-effect from the medication. Look up the side-effects of that drug and go see a doctor.

Like a dark brown red? Maybe it's just old blood tissue...unless you have signs of an infection I wouldn't worry too much...
