Is intuition a "fantasy" or a hidden reality?

Is what is "in the air" a fruit of our fantasy tree or mirrors the reality? What are your experiences so far, especially when it comes to "unusual" feelings? To what extend the intuition turns out to be "right" and "wrong"?

I am asking that because of my strong intuition that a female coworker feels attracted to me (I am a female as well) in spite of the mixed signals she sends. This is just an example...

    I live my life by my intuition. It is a strong part of me. My intuition just wrote that last sentence.

    When it comes to attraction, though, i always take my intuition with a grain of salt, so as to not confuse it with wishful thinking or misconstrued preconceptions.

    A hidden reality if you ask me. I always follow my intuition, and nine times out of ten, it is correct. My only problem is that I often let my intuition lead me to becoming anxious.

    It depends on what you mean by intuition. If you're talking about a supernatural ability to detect things, that's not something that exists. If you're just talking about noticing things and forming feelings and opinions that you're not sure how you got, that's real. Intuition can be a good start, a clue that something might be worth investigating, but you should usually rationally evaluate your intuition before acting on it. It depends on what it's about, though. If you feel uncomfortable and your intuition is telling you're in danger, then you should listen to it immediately. If your intuition is telling you to invest in a company or make a major purchase, though, you should investigate further.
