When you talk to someone on the internet, is it how you are in real life?
I'm excluding people that literally change their physical appearance as well. I.e- older man pretending he's a teenage girl or whatever.

I used to be what I want to be. I acted outgoing and funny but in real life I was shy and introverted. Then one day it clicked and I started telling jokes and smiling more. Now I am the same person offline and online and I love life.
In real life, i can talk alot sometimes, other times, im withdrawn, but even though i may talk about myself sometimes, i hardly reveal anything, besides that im an avid car enthusiast, and my dream job of designing new cars
My posts here reflect my true personality. What I say in real-life sometimes reflects my true personality.
In real live I'm very different to the way I'm here. I don't go around telling a bunch of strangers my fears and weaknesses or what turns me on, lol. I'm very hard to get to know IRL and only open up to people I trust. That is one of the reasons why writing here feels almost therapeutic to me. I get to express myself openly and as a bonus there's a chance that others find what I have to say helpful or interesting.
Most people say it is them indeed, yet it seems every second person on here is 'scared' of being found on this site. Why is that exactly?

Don't see a reason to be otherwise.
I may be more open with my words and more opinionated with them because that's what this site really calls for. (plus no one in real life really cares..). but I still think the same and act the same as I would in real life.
I think I’m more open to people talking through the internet. I reveal more things about me ..
How I talk here is how I am in the real world.
The only difference is that I have a temper and the internet allows me to cool off before I respond, hence no one sees it.
Internet Parrish is a slight exaggeration of real world whatever my name is.
i say what i think on the internet, but really i am shy and no one cares for what i have to say in real life. sad, isn't it? i also have a bad stutter.
Exactly the same. I say what I think, but always without malice, so don't take it personally ;o)
What you see on the Internet is what you get in real life when it comes to me. Though I'm much less eloquent and much more awkward in meatspace than I am in cyberspace.
This is one aspect of my being. It is how I communicate with written word. Words I can see before sending out into the world. The thoughts are the same but how I express them varies. To talk to me would be a much different experience, but still me. The parts that are missing are things like facial expressions and body language, as well as random stutters and sounds that are not words. How do you spell "nya-emh?" You could only get the meaning if you heard it and saw the expression on my face while making such a noise. And then there is the tendency to say words in the wrong order when sleepy...or over excited. I am not likely to type that way. And if I did, I would spot it just the same and correct it. You just don't get to see the edits. But you would hear them.
I'm pretty much me on here. I'd say the same things in life that I do on here. The way I type it varies tho. Sometimes I'll write a bit more proper than I actually speak, and sometimes I write the way I actually talk. Like, I say like, totally a bit too often so I try not to write it too much, but why? I dunno. Like, I totally should just type like I talk, right? Its not a bunch of illedgible slang or anything. Totally, ya? Who cares but I think of my accent/ way of speaking is a mashup between a toned down new york accent crossed with a valley girl. Who cares. A bit off topic. My bad :)
