I met a guy at school a few months ago and gave him my number. After some texting for about a week, he made a sexual reference (we were talking about possibly meeting up to hike a local trail and he made a sexual reference "the worst that'll happen is I'd fuck you lol" or some bullshit like that). The reference immediately put me off so I just stopped talking to him.

He contacts me still, every now and then, even after about two months. He isn't creepy about it but he will call and when I ignore it, text me asking what I am doing that day with the intention of wanting to hang out. I don't know what the hell he is after but I am not into one-nighters.

Lemme hear some opinions.

    Keep up the good work, chica! I think he's just looking to get it on so you're a smart cookie in my book. He's testing the waters when he says that shit in my not so humble opinion.

    I had someone sending Facebook messages like that even after I'd moved out of state so I honestly don't know. Maybe this vague sense of keeping somebody on the back burner?

    Guys who make "that" sexual reference over a text are testing the waters. If you had responded with an inviting and comeback-flirty response, he would have solidified, "Yup! Getting some!"..
    You made the right decision to pull back after. Eluding crass/bluntness. If he wanted to get to know you; simple, he would be well on his way toward that. However he didn't and isn't. He was trying to get a feel for his chances of getting it.

    It sounds like he blew it, he knows it deep down. He'll continue to try, as he clearly hasn't reached that goal...

    At first it sounded like all he wanted was a one-nighter but it appears that he's still trying to keep in touch. He could still want a one-nighter but I can't really tell.
