I hadn't heard from a selfish and arrogant "friend" of mine anymore for a month. Therefore I thought I wouldn't hear from that person anymore at all, and was quite happy about that.However, on Christmas Day I got a text from him wishing me Merry Christmas. So, I wished him Merry Christmas as well, hoping that would be the end of it. I was quite surprised when I received a text from him, saying:

"I look forward to see you sometime along with Zoe if possible."

Zoe is a friend of ours.

Is this kind of text normal on Christmas day?

    It sounds like a perfectly normal text to me. Maybe your friend does value your friendship and wants to build bridges, although if they're a bad friend like you say you might want to stay away from them.
