No. People who say otherwise don't understand fairly basic science.

TLDR: 5G conspiracy theories and scare stories are total BS.

The 5G idiocy is a prime example of how the early internet visionaries understood the technical potential for the whole world to be constantly connected, but being the nerds they were, they completely failed to grasp just how stupid people can be, how many people get a thrill out of being scared, the power of baseless conspiracy stories, and how people in a group always tend to sink to the lowest common denominator.

People who spread horror stories about 5G are either simply attention- and click-whores, or they know nothing about mobile phone technology and probably next to nothing about physics and biology in general. The cretins who suggest there's some connection between 5G and Covid can only be wilfully ignorant fools, since even a couple of minutes of research would make it clear that the virus has rampaged through countries which have no 5G coverage at all.

5G uses frequencies in the same range as earlier mobile phone technology. The amount of energy a person receives from the transmissions of mobile phone masts is so trivial (assuming they're not literally standing right in front of the antenna) that it simply cannot have any effect on our bodies. So the biggest theoretical health danger posed by mobile phones is from the phones themselves while they're in use.

Early mobile phones usually transmitted with a maximum power of 1 Watt (by way of comparison, a typical old-fashioned incandescent flashlight bulb uses 3 Watts). So much time has now passed since mobile phones became common that, if they did pose a danger to health by causing brain tumours or whatever, there should be clear signs of an increase in the incidence of diseases that could have some correlation with people holding low-powered microwave-transmitting devices to the side of their head. There is no evidence whatsoever that this is the case.

5G phones transmit at a maximum power of 0.2 Watts, and less than that if there's a good connection to a tower. So the energy received by a user from a 5G phone is much, much less than was the case for early mobile phones. Also, many people don't hold their phones against the side of their heads these days, and there's this thing in physics called the inverse square law which means that drastically reduces the intensity of the radiation absorbed by the user's body to an even lower level.

Would it bother you if they put one of those giant cellphone towers in your backyard though? Im not a big believer in the 5g theories but I wouldnt wanna live near one of those things

Don't think so. You have to remember, the people who invented 5G are also being subjected to the radiation-waves that some people claim are dangerous, so obviously a dangerous product is not in their interest either.

It's horrible. I grew some kind of plant out of my left ribcage and I constantly have to trim it. I think it's starting to grow tomatoes though may come in handy with the salads I make

Interesting, I have a cancerous tumor that grows into a delicious turkey about once a year (just in time for Thanksgiving)

Technology itself is almost never bad, or good.

Its how it is used in society.

At this point I see nothing about how 5g is being adopted to suggest major issues. On the other hand, I'm not convinced that its really that much of an improvement over 4g.

    Personally, I feel its neutral.

Its fine. I have several towers near me and one like a half mile away.

Nothing has changed. The birds are fine and having young that healthy fine and all that.

It's kinda unlikely to do any harm to people, but it seems that 5g makes data collection easier, with even some news running around, espionage conspiracies will have their chance to shine.

Idk I feel like its probably not that bad. I wouldnt want one of those giant towers right outside my house tho.

They are huge. I live down the road from a park, and there was one put up there this year. It may be taller than anything else in my town.

Ive heard a lot of rumors of people who basically had one of those giant cellphone towers in their backyard and they say it gave the whole family cancer. It might be bullshit but I still wouldn't wanna chance it.

Enough things around here or in general to blame that on anyway. My grandma used to tell me she could feel radiation coming from her cell phone like 10 years ago. I didn't believe it then and I don't now either.

Would it make you think twice if they put one of those giant cellphone towers like 20 feet from your house? I dont worry about the phones or anything its the towers that I wouldnt wanna live near.

Eh if I had a choice I'd probably not choose to live near one. They put this one up though one day out of the blue, didn't really know what it was til someone told me. It's pretty close, I see it when I walk outside every day. I can walk up and touch it from my house in under 2 minutes easy, walking
