Is feeling male guilt normal?
male guilt is when a man feels guilty for sexist things that history has done to women. (not allowing them to vote, etc.) I think im starting to feel that. Is this normal for a 17 year old? do you have any advice?!

It's stupid, as is white guilt and as is any guilt people feel for anything that isn't their personal responsibility. If it isn't you responsibility then you shouldn't feel guilty about it. and it can't be your responsibility if it is before your time.
I really dont see why any of you bother caring. Yes people have done some stupid things in the past. That was not you and you can not change it. If a black man commits a crime not all blacks should suffer for it. If Hitler lead killed the jews it only involves the Germans of that time. Simply being German now does not make you a nazi. Most races, and cultures have done something messed up in the past. We all should be moving along now. Learn from the past but don't feel guilty over it. YOU CAN NOT CHANGE IT!
Don't feel bad. It's not your fault, and feeling guilty isn't productive. What you can do, though, is educate yourself about your privilege and how not to use it to hurt people. You can find out how to be an advocate for women's rights. Men can be feminists.
It's about the same as white guilt. It's nice that you look at history. Keep in mind that stuff is in the past, you personally had no part in it so you shouldn't feel guilty. My advice is don't use history to feel bad use it to appreciate how much better things are today.
You played no part in that whatsoever, you weren't even born:). You have absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. Just because other men have done bad things, it doesn't mean that you have. If we all felt guilty about something someone we share share a similarity with did, then we'd all be feeling incredibly guilty right now.
Just focus on you're current behaviour and how *you* act:)
