Is fantasizing about others while you are in a relationship cheating?

in the past i have pictured other men when i was having sex with my boyfriend/husband, i imagined that i was having sex with them instead of who i was with. Is that a form of cheating?

Yes, fantasizing about others is cheating 22
No, fantasies are normal 99
Maybe, but only if it takes away from your relationship 51

It's not cheating, but it still is insulting to your partner if they found out.

I would be hurt if i found out my boyfriend did that. I have fantasized that i was someone else, to channel sexual energies. Even that might be a crime against myself, i'm not sure. While masturbating, i would say it was okay, but during sex just seems wrong.

It isn't cheating, although if sex with your partner is so dull you feel the need to indulge in fantasies it might be worth trying to "spice up" your sex life with him.

Its not cheating, but it is very telling about your possible underlying feelings in this relationship

Hmm, well I don't think it's wrong, I've done that while masturbating. Though I think if you're fantasizing while you're in bed with someone else you could probably be more into the act... I never fantasize when I'm making sex, I'm too caught up in what I'm doing. ;P

No, you're not some kind of figurative whore. I would advise not blurting out someone elses name. Also, possibly bring up role-playing to him.

you just have to ask same question to yourself, if you are in love with a man and you are having sex with him would you consider it normal that he fantasize about another woman while being in your arms?

Is fantisising when you are a virgin mean you lost you virginity? Is having a wet dream the same as having sex and you can tell people "I just had sex"! Is watching a movie about sex and thinking about it means you just had sex?

Apparently it kind of is in Catholicism... But then again, Catholics are becoming more lenient, they even allow condoms now. I guess there's less need to keep strict rules on people because times are changing.

I dunno, I was taught by Catholics who took the bible maybe a little too literally.

Fantasizing is totally normal! Depending on your relationship you may want to choose never to tell your partner about your fantasies of other people - unless what you fantasize about someone else doing is something you would like to try with your partner.

So I don't see it as cheating.

Which is also why porn does not bother me - it is just fantasies, harmless.

It's not cheating, but if you fantasize about other men too often, it could be a sign that you're not fully satisfied with the relationship. You may have to help him learn how to better satisfy you so you can stay "in the moment" with him.

What is so wrong with fantasizing others? Everyone fantasizes. Very normal.
