Is consensual intense sadomasochism normal, ethical, and legal?

I have been seeing this woman for a while. She is a prostitute. I don't have sex with her, though. I pay her a good deal amount of money ($250 an hour) to hurt her consensually. I slap her around, beat her up, punch her, pull her hair, twist her nipples, bite her ears real hard, choke her, duck tape her mouth shut, pee on her in the shower, humiliate her, all kinds of stuff. But it's consensual and no one's in any danger.

I'm not asking the ethics or legality behind prostitution. Not to mention I am not having sex with her, so I'm not engaging in illegal prostitution. I am curious about this kind of intense sadomessachism.

(I categorized this under "sex" since it's between two adults and can be considered foreplay, plus I couldn't find a more appropriate category.)

It's an interesting question. If you paid someone to allow you to murder them, it would still be illegal. Where's the dividing line between what you can do to someone where it's acceptable not be prosecuted because it's consensual? I don't actually know the answer to this but I know someone who will. It'll only give you an answer for this country, though.

Your other two questions. Normal: Yes, I think sado-masochism is considered pretty normal these days. Ethical: I'm not going to answer because I can't make up my mind.

Look at boxing. People are legally permitted to make other people bleed, give them concussions, and even kill them if it's in the ring and unintentional.
